  • To sign up for a Coinbase account through Coinbase Wallet:

    1. Open and sign into your Coinbase Wallet.

    2. Tap the Buy icon on the home page menu.

    3. Tap Connect my Coinbase account, and follow the remaining prompts.

    Note that you'll need to do the following:

    • Verify your email

    • Add a 2-step verification method to secure your new account

    • Verify a new payment method 

    • Verify your identity

  • Once you’ve connected your Coinbase account to your Wallet, follow the below steps:

    1. On the Assets tab inside Coinbase Wallet, tap the Buy button

    2. Tap the token you'd like to purchase, then enter the amount you’d like to buy.

    3. If needed, change the Source of funds to your desired payment or transfer method. Then, tap "Preview buy".

    4. Review the transaction details, including which network you would like to send funds to (e.g. Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism) if applicable

    5. When you're ready to transfer, select 'Confirm'.

    Note: Transactions on the blockchain may not appear instantly in your Transaction History or Asset Balances.

  • Once you’ve connected your Coinbase account to your Wallet, then follow the below steps:

    1. On the Assets tab, select Receive then choose Receive from Coinbase.

    2. Select the Transfer from Coinbase tab. 

    3. Select the asset balance you'd like to transfer.

    4. Select Continue. (You’ll see Coinbase balance under From.)

    5. Select Confirm, and follow the remaining prompts.

    Note: Assets moved to Coinbase Wallet from Coinbase.com will no longer be held by Coinbase. Therefore you are responsible for keeping your assets secure.

    1. Select Send.

    2. Select the asset you’d like to transfer, and enter an amount.

    3. Enter the address of the other wallet.

    4. Confirm the transaction.

  • MetaMask
    From the MetaMask browser wallet extension:

    1. Go to the Coinbase Wallet extension, click Show Wallet address and Copy to copy your Coinbase Wallet address.

    2. Open the MetaMask browser extension, and enter your password to access your MetaMask wallet.

    3. Click Send and paste your Coinbase Wallet browser address that you copied from step 1.

    4. Enter the amount of crypto you’d like to send and select the asset.

    5. Complete the transaction. 

    From the MetaMask mobile app:

    1. Go to the Coinbase Wallet extension, click Show Wallet address > QR code. 

    2. Open the MetaMask mobile app, and tap Send > QR code and scan the Coinbase Wallet extension QR code in your web browser. 

    3. Enter the amount of crypto you’d like to send and select the asset.

    4. Complete the transaction.

  • Trust Wallet or another wallet

    1. Go to the Coinbase Wallet extension, click Show Wallet address > QR code. 

    2. Open the Trust Wallet mobile app, and tap Send > QR code and scan the Coinbase Wallet extension QR code in your web browser. 

    3. Enter the amount of crypto you’d like to send and select the asset.

    4. Complete the transaction.

     

    You can also import your MetaMask or Trust Wallet into the Coinbase Wallet via your 12-word recovery phrase to make it easier to track your balances and conduct transactions.

  • Note: Third-party payments are currently available in select markets. Additional regions will be added on a future date.

    To add funds to your Wallet using a third-party payment provider:

    1. Select Buy.

    2. Select Pay with to choose your preferred payment method or provider.

    3. Enter the asset and amount you want to purchase.

    4. Select Continue to the third party page.

    5. Complete steps with the third-party payment provider.

    6. Confirm and place the transaction.
